Model answer · Internet safety, falls and slips
- 1.(a) Two best practices for internet safety are: 1. Use a strong password that others cannot guess, and never share it with anyone. Change it from time to time so that no one else can get into your account. 2. Do not share personal information online, such as your home address, phone number or bank details. Do not open e-mails, links or attachments from unknown senders, because they may harm your computer or steal your data.2 marks
- 2.(b) Two Falls and Slips Safety rules are: 1. Do not leave a loose cord lying across a walkway, because someone can trip over it. If a cord or wire has to cross a pathway, mark it with hazard tape so that people can see it and step over it safely. 2. Make sure all areas have proper lighting, so that people can see the floor and anything lying on it. Keep the floor clean and throw garbage daily, so that nothing is left on the floor for people to slip or trip on.2 marks
- In (b), write that a cord or wire crossing a pathway must be marked "with hazard tape".
- In (b), also write "Make sure all areas have proper lighting" so people can see where they walk.
- For each part, write two separate numbered points with a reason for each.
