Okay, so, whenever a disaster happens, there are two phases of disaster management.
- • Disaster management: 2 phases

2. Emergency Management in Flood Situation
Okay, so when floods come, people, animals and property — all fall into danger together.

Summary
Okay, so let's go back over everything we've learned in this chapter. See, disaster management has two phases. One is emergency management, for saving lives right at the time of disaster. The other is long term management, to reduce future effects. We looked at priorities during floods, didn't we? Saving people comes first, then animals, then goods. And at safe places, we need food, water and safety arrangements ready. We also covered earthquake and tsunami management, the three major works for earthquakes. And for tsunami and debris rescue, we use helicopters, radar, boats and Bio Radar. Then came fire management, with three responsibilities — rescue, first aid, and stopping the fire from spreading. We also listed out the equipment a relief team needs — personal equipment, relief team equipment, and first-aid equipment. And finally, three factors make emergency management work — the Local Administration, the Self Help Institution, and the Residents of the village or Mohalla. They all have to work together for it to succeed. Now, tell me — out of all these, which part did you find most interesting?
